Coach Brett Washburn was born in Conroe, Texas and grew up in Montgomery County. After graduating from Montgomery High School, he received a bachelor’s degree in History from Texas A&M University. He and his wife Cori reside in the area and are proud parents to two sons, Tripp and Tucker.

Coach Washburn began his coaching career at College Park High School under USA Baseball 15u gold medalist coach, Jason Washburn. He worked in all aspects of the Cavalier program, eventually focusing on pitchers and catchers. He spent his final season at College Park as Associate Head Baseball Coach under the leadership of Mike Faherty. Coach Washburn is an annual camp instructor for Texas A&M Baseball, previously served as the Scorpions Baseball Summer Collegiate Team Head Coach, and is a USA Baseball Taskforce Scout. Coach Washburn is a proud member of the ABCA, THSCA, THSBCA, and HABCA.

Coach Washburn is in his third year at the helm of the Wildkat baseball program in 2024-2025 and teaches World Geography at the high school. He loves being a member of the Willis community, Go Kats!

Coach Brett Taff grew up in Amarillo, Texas and went on to graduate from Austin College. Coach Taff is married to the love of his life, Jaylin, and has one son.

Coach Taff had the opportunity to play collegiate baseball at Lamar University and Austin College. He finished his career at Austin College, where he won a batting title his senior year. Coach Taff began his coaching career in Cleveland ISD, where he spent one year as a junior high coach and varsity baseball assistant.

Coach Taff is in his 5th year at Willis High School. He will serve as a the program's Associate Head Coach and varsity thirdbase coach. Coach Taff also takes the lead on the program's infield development and is the co-hitting coordinator. He is excited about the opportunities Willis provides and looking forward to this year. Coach Anthony was born and raised in Spring, TX and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. Coach Anthony and his wife Dana live in Montgomery and have two children: Piper and Braddock. 

He earned his Bachelors and Master's degrees in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University. During his time at SFA he was a Student and Graduate Assistant Strength Coach. He also spent one season with the Gulf Coast League Cincinnati Reds as a strength coach. Since graduating, he has been a high school strength coach at Rosehill Christian School (7 years), Peet Junior High (2 years), and Conroe High School (5 years); all while coaching: football, baseball, basketball, powerlifting and teaching physical education and Leadworthy. 

Coach Anthony is in his third year at Willis High School and serves the entire athletic department as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Go Kats!

Mr. McClatchy is in his 30th professional year as an athletic trainer. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he has spent 26 years of his health care career here in the Willis area, currently serving his 2nd stint as Head Athletic Trainer for Willis ISD.
